You couldn't have put it a better way Robert! This show was a perfect example of how important the crowd can be in a band's performance. I'll take 75 'dancing+singing' music lovers over 1000 'stiff+dull' folks(who couldn't care less about music)any night!
Josh Pessar(lead gtr)is special, he never fails to deliver;he is extremely unique & adaptive! With more live shows, Robert Howell&the Visitors will find themselves synchronized, seamless,& putting smiles on many faces!
Had Zydeco allowed for mic placement where I had intended, this recording would get 5*. Instead, I give my 5* to the crowd! -Cheers-

The above is my band, my name is Robert Howell and the Band is called Robert Howell and The Visitors. Our friend Matt Camp recorded this show and uploaded it to this site with our permission. This was our first time playing in Birmingham and the turn out was decent, about 65-70 people. Zydeco is a pretty good size venue so it looked like a small crowd but what they lacked in numbers was made up for by the energy in the crowd. The audience was terrific and the band felt the love from them and we appreciate it!

The recording is a pretty good recording considering it was a straight audience mic set up. It gives the listener a sense of how the band played, and I think they did well. The band was not perfect but hey that is live music, that is called patina. I say the band was not perfect but I am very pleased, they band did great. Particular note is the work of lead guitarist Josh Pessar. In my opinion he is truly special and you can get a sense of that here. Let me know what you think.

Thanks again to Matt Camp!
